I have recently been to visit my lovely sewing group in Monifieth who were having their tri annual exhibition, I think this was the fourth – certainly the third anyway.  It was lovely and I will add some photos later.  I got into some trouble for being so absent with this blog.  Same as before …as the job got bigger and bigger …. I got less enthusiastic 🙁  THEN some technical problems.  However, that sorted.  Here is a gallery of the students who have put up with me since you last saw me.

This was Christmas week and a very successful little picture which looked great in an Ikea frame!

Next some grown ups learning some beginners patchwork.   We had great fun and some gorgeous cushions got made.

Well, there went 6 weeks and last Saturday the Quilt Museum closed its doors for the last time.  Lots of museum friends arrived on the final day so it wasn’t as sad as it might have been  AND there was lots of cake and even some bubbly!

On Monday and Tuesday of this week I was in to help take the Art Quilt exhibition down and get it all packed up ready to be sent off to its next destination.

That was sad, as the room emptied out not to be filled again.

Now, a potted ‘what else has been going on’ 🙂

I am prepping for a few workshops:

and during half term lots of children’s workshops all Halloween based.

I designed these Goth dolls that proved to be very popular and if you visit York School of Sewing on Facebook and scroll down, you will see lots and lots of pictures of all that went on that week.
